Tide Turner Kids Club

Take the kids to La Palmera Mall’s  Under the Sea play area for story time, arts and crafts, raffle and much more! This event is free and is geared towards kids ages 5 and under.

Portland Aquatics Center Dive in Movie

Dive right in to the Portland aquatics center to watch the movie Trolls with your family and friends! The movie show time is 9-11 p.m. Enjoy free popcorn and snow cones!

Nature Story Time

Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program at the Delta Preserve provides a free family story time from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. geared for ages 2-5 to introduce children to nature and the joys of reading.

Art Walk

The Art Walk is held the first Friday of each month in the Marina Art District. Bring your family and watch downtown come alive with live music, local and national artists, art vendors, and grab diner from a local food truck.

Portland Kid Katch

Head out to Indian Point Pier in Portland for the 14th Annual Kid Katch Youth Fishing Tournament. The event begins at 9:00 am until noon, with fishing ending at 11 am. Children 17 and under can try out their fishing abilities and compete in three different age groups for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place “Biggest Fish.” Kid Katch is measure and release only. This is a free event, but they will be accepting donations of new school supplies for the Gregory-Portland ISD’s School Supply Drive. Free lunch and t-shirts will be provided for the first 200 children registered. Call 777-3301 for more information

Fishing with Family and Beach Cleanup

Bring your family and friends out to fish on the beach at 8 a.m.! A light breakfast will be served and fishing guide will be available to assist you. Bring your fishing license and gear. Limited supplies will be on hand.

Hooks vs. Drillers 

Bring your family on out to Whataburger Field to watch the Corpus Christi Hooks vs Tulsa Drillers Baseball game! It starts at 7:05 p.m.

Coastal Bend Opening Ceremonies

Looking for outdoor activities for your family? Meet outside the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History for the kickoff ceremonies for this year’s challenge. Register on-site, learn about participating sites, meet other teams, and feel inspired to begin exploring.

PETEY’S Back to School Bash 2017

Project Turnaround, with the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation (CBWF), is excited to host their annual PETEY’s Back to School Bash. This event will feature games and activities for youth and families, live performances on stage, raffle prizes, giveaways, and 300 FREE backpacks filled with school supplies for the first 300 youth.

If your child(ren) need immuization shots or physicals the CBWF’s Mobile Clinic will be on site. 

Entertainment by: Z Live Fit studio, Sisters of the Dance, JonMikael Mrez, and PETEY’s Mascot Dance-off!

In addition, there will be busineses and organizations around the Coastal Bend sharing information and resources, along with food trucks (Papa’s Lumpia Hut, Taquitos Mi Tierra, LaLa’s Crepes LLC) selling their delicious food! So come by Friday, August 18th 4:00-7:30PM for some fun!

Peddler Show

The Peddler Show is coming to Robstown’s Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds for the weekend.  Shop crafts, art, gifts, and more! Free Parking!

Bring your kids to listen to Nothing Ryhmes With Orange storytime at Barnes and Nobles. Activities to follow.

Super sARTurday! Back-to-School Blowout! 

What better way to end summer vacation than with a Super sARTurday!  Join us August 16, 2014 for our annual fun-filled Back-to-School Blowout where we will create butterfly sun-catchers, swimming self-portraits and bubble prints in this jam-packed end of summer extravaganza!

Cost: $5-members/$10-nonmembers
(Tuition must be prepaid at least 2 days before the class; no refunds less than 2 weeks out from class)

Art Museum Moms & Tots (and sometimes Pops) 

Join us as we read all about Mark the Shark in Shark Bite by Little Bee Books (illustrated by Beatrice Costamagna) and then create our own silly sea creature using a variety of materials. This Program is for children ages 2-K5 (preschool) accompanied by an adult helper. RSVPs and payment two business days in advance are required. Contact the AMST Education Department at 361.825.3504 or register and pay online at Parents are invited to bring a small snack for their child to enjoy during storytime.

A La Mano Food Truck Friday

Food Truck Fridays will bring tasty food to your fingertips the last Friday of the month at North Bayfront Park from 11AM to 2PM. Live Music! Lawn Games! Food Trucks! Bring your friends, family, and furry friends for a fun and relaxing afternoon on the Bayfront while grabbing a delicious bite to eat!
