Tide Turners Kids Club Breakfast With Bunny
La Palmera Mall

La Palmera’s monthly Tide Turners events are held the first Tuesday of every month at the Undersea Children’s Play Area located on the upper level of La Palmera. The Coastal Bend Bays Foundation annual Earth Day-Bay Day event is FREE fun for the entire family!! Climb a rock wall, catch a fish, touch a sea urchin, watch raptors dazzle everyone with tricks, all while learning about the importance of environmental stewardship and appreciation for our precious coastal natural resources. Have fun with some of our fabulous exhibitors, presenters and vendors! There will be activities and exhibits from Wild Sky Productions Raptor Shows, Youth Odyssey and the Rock Wall, the Kiwanis Club Fishing Pond, Gladys Porter Zoo, Coastal Bend Surfrider Foundation, Texas State Aquarium, Del Mar College Geospatial Technology Center, Grow Local South Texas, Coastal Expo, Wildlife in Focus, City of Corpus Christi Stormwater Division, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Thief Trailer, Perfect Impressions Face Painting, and many others! There will also be several food trucks on hand to offer a variety of tasty treats. The Sierra Club will also have three types of electric cars for folks to check out!

3rd Annual Corpus Christi Food Truck Festival

Happening Saturday, April 7 is the 3rd Annual Corpus Christi Food Truck Festival. Awesome food trucks will be on hand serving up the best dishes and food creations for all to enjoy. Not only will there be food, there will also be live music @ Food Truck Stage, Arts & Crafts Alley and plenty of kid activities @ Kids Truck Zone. Fiesta de la Flor

Fiesta de la Flor is a 2-day festival that celebrates the life & legacy of Selena Quintanilla, known to her many admirers as the “Queen of Tejano.” Selena Quintanilla’s memory is as alive today as she continues to fascinate the public. Enjoy musical entertainment and fun for the whole family! Friday’s lineup includes Janelle Shetters, Borderline Band, and The Pictures Band. Saturday the 14th features Janelle Shetters, Truck Stop Gamblers, Riptide, Reverand’s Daughter, Clarissa Serna, and Timeline Journey Tribute Band. Sunday includes Memories of Elvis, Matt and The Herdsmen, and Matt Kimbrow. All weekend Portland’s own Comedian Steve Trevino will be entertaining and MCing.

Pops in the Park

Pops in the Park, presented by Valero Energy Foundation, is a unique, family-friendly event that combines the magic of music, a synchronized light show on the iconic Harbor Bridge and a magnificent fireworks display that fills the night sky with vivid colors. Celebrating our seventh year, Pops in the Park has become a South Texas family favorite where children are able to play in the Kid’s Zone throughout the performance and are introduced to various musical instruments in the Instrument Petting Zoo. The event kicks off with a pre-concert show which includes performances by student musical groups and civic organizations, a salute to the military, and culminates with the sounds of the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. The concert will be conducted by the local and celebrated Maestro, Lee Gwozdz, who will conduct the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. All-time favorites such as; ‘Star Wars Theme,’ ‘Superman March,’ ‘At Last,’ and music from Broadway hits like ‘West Side Story,’ Dear Evan Hansen,’ and ‘Newsies,’ will be performed. Purchase your tickets here

On Earth Day, April 22, enjoy a run/jog/walk on the Corpus Christi Bayfront while cleaning up our BEAUTIFUL city! Invite your friends and family to join and meet new friends! Everyone is welcome and the event is FREE. This is meant to be a fun time, enjoying the views of downtown Corpus Christi, and picking up trash. Please bring your own bag and gloves. Texas Sandfest

If you love sand castles, then Texas SandFest is the best place in the world to see some of the best sculptors ever! You’ll love the soothing sounds of the Texas Gulf Coast as you leisurely stroll amid amazing feats of art and architecture. Master sculptors from all over go to Port Aransas, Texas to make pure magic. SandFest will also have tons of great vendors on the beach selling all kinds of things you can’t live without. Make sure and get to the beach early, because parking fills up quickly and the road gets packed. You can check the to see shuttle bus pick-up and drop-off locations as well as other event details.
