Date Nights… how many of us have them? But when is the last time you went somewhere new and exciting?
Between work, kids, and extra-curricular activities… it’s hard to find time to fit in that special night with your significant other!! Do you have an old faithful or are you looking for somewhere new and fun? Maybe your date night needs to be revamped!?! Corpus has a great variety of places that you and yours truly can take advantage of. I want to highlight a few of my personal faves, and hopefully you will love them just as much as I do!!!
Daylight Savings Time is working in our favor Mom’s!! Get out and enjoy those extra couple of daytime hours while sitting by the water enjoying a spectacular view of Downtown Corpus!
Dine on the water’s edge
Landry’s Patio offers live music and a great atmosphere while you enjoy your partner’s company on the water. You can look out over the harbor and enjoy our Sparkling City on the Bay from a whole new perspective. Harrison’s Landing is another sure bet! Like Landry’s, they are located on the water! Order one of their amazing burgers or nachos (yum) and enjoy a well made adult beverage while relaxing in a casual setting for your date night!
Want to step things up a bit?
Maybe looking to wear that cute new dress or pull on those new heels? Whatever the want, Water Street Oyster Bar has you covered!! Get swept away by the lively atmosphere, or be seated upstairs and look out over the Downtown area! Their Rockefeller Oysters are the perfect appetizer to start your night off right. Executive Surf Club is located next door to Water Street, and usually has a live band. They have great local beer on tap and the food is definitely a win!!
Something NEW and different right up the road in Uptown Corpus Christi!!
Shoreline Sandwich Company is now open FRIDAY nights from 5-? closing time. Everything is made to order, and most meals are organic!! Get a west coast feel in this retro-modern style restaurant…oh and side note the “Lavender Lovely” is a great little wine and rock candy concoction.
Stop in around the Alameda and Doddridge location of Corpus Christi.
The Post adds a great new feel to Corpus Christi. This is a great change of pace. The Post is also a place that a group can enjoy! Across the street you can find Tannins Wine Bar & Tapas! This cute little wine bar has seating for a more intimate setting or two large tables to accommodate bigger groups. The Charcuterie (shahr-koo-tuh-ree) options are delectable!! You can also catch the Spurs game playing on the television!! Go Spurs Go!!
Don’t forget the Island!
Island Time Sushi is my all time favorite place to dine on the Island!!! The serve a chilled Simi-wine, (btw I think the chilled red wine is an Island thing, just roll with it, you’ll be glad you did), and talk about stellar sushi!!! The Shaggy Dog is probably my favorite, although it’s a close race when it comes to their rolls! They also have live music at times.
