Christmas gifts

These past few years, since my daughter has started school, I am always sure to include teacher gifts in our holiday shopping list.

Teachers are so important!

They are with our kids five days a week most of the day. They mold their minds and teach our kids things that sometimes we can’t. They love our kids like their own. They care for them when we can’t be there.

Both my parents were teachers and I grew up seeing how much they loved teaching. Education was always so important in our family. Teachers deserve love, and they need and deserve their winter breaks.

Before I became a mom, I used to work for a daycare for a while. I used to love when my kids would bring me gifts. It didn’t matter what the gift was. It made me feel special and I always enjoyed what they gave me.

So, when it comes to picking out teacher gifts for the holidays, remember all the time and effort, they give to their class all year long. It doesn’t have to be expensive, even gifts on a budget are appreciated.

Here are some holiday gift ideas to help show the special teacher in your life that they are thought about.

  •  Gift Cards! Gift Cards! Gift Cards! Gift cards are a big hit with teachers. They love to be able to spend at their leisure. It can be for anything …restaurants, Starbucks, places to shop like Target, Wal Mart, or Visa. You can’t go wrong with a gift card.
  •  Fun School Supplies Some pretty notebooks, markers, pens, things for them to use in their classroom. They could always use extra supplies all throughout the year.
  •  Lotions/body spray- Teachers love smelling good too. It doesn’t even have to be the full size they have mini lotions and body sprays that fit in their purse or bag.
  •  Sweet Treats Maybe you’re on a budget and you can’t afford a big gift. Just get a little gift bag from the dollar store and fill it with some Christmas candies. It will be appreciated by the teacher with a sweet tooth.
  •  Handmade gifts- These go a long way too. If your little wants to make something special for their teacher a homemade card or ornament is always treasured.

So, to all TEACHERS past, present and future… Thank you.

Thank you for everything you do. Merry Christmas!
