Disney on Ice Presents: Reach For The Stars

The American Bank Center will host Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy as they set the stage for a star-studded talent extravaganza: Disney On Ice presents Reach For The Stars. Unleash the magic with the music you love and iconic characters such as royal sisters Anna and Elsa, Olaf, Ariel, and more! Note that costumes are not permitted for guests 14 years & older.

Buc Days

Held on the Corpus Christi Bayfront each Spring, Buc Days has something for everyone, including a Pro Rodeo, Carnival, and two Parades.  Over 120,000 attendees line the streets each year awaiting the Buc Days Pirate Queens and Buc Days King scholarship contestants on our Buc Days float at the Buc Days Illuminated Night Parade. Cinco de Mayo Spring Fling Water Fest

Join MWR Corpus Christi for a day of fun introduction to water activities! Instruction from Certified Instructors on the following activities: Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Kite Boards and free use of equipment. State Historic Sites Free Day

Celebrate Texas Historical Commission’s State Historic Sites Free Day! In celebration of National Preservation Month and Texas Travel and Tourism Week, the THC will offer free admission to state historic sites on Sunday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.!. Visit any one of the sites (including the Sam Rayburn House, the Eisenhower Birthplace in Denison and the Sam Bell Maxey House in Paris.) From military strongholds to house museums, plantations, and American Indian settlements, these historic sites offer visitors the opportunity to truly experience the real places of Texas and the stories they preserve.
Several of the THC’s sites are currently undergoing renovations or restorations, so check the site’s homepage to ensure it is open.

Ocean Love: Kids Yoga And Craft Series

Join Ashley Chapa at the Texas Surf Museum for a new yoga and craft series just for kids! The series is held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 4:30pm until 6pm. They will combine ocean based arts and crafts with themed yoga sequences to educate youth on the importance of decisions, actions, and choices when it comes to helping save our seas. Each class will begin with a 30 min ocean themed yoga sequence followed by an educational arts & crafts activity with recycled and environmentally friendly materials. This a FREE event! Donations accepted.

Go Red for Women Luncheon

American Heart Association (AHA) will host its highly-anticipated Corpus Christi Go Red for Women® Annual Luncheon on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the American Bank Center with an expected attendance of over 700 guests. Guests will enjoy a heart-healthy lunch while learning more about the Go Red for Women Campaign and how they can become a beacon for change among the women in their own lives. Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women.

Free Swim Day at Parker Pool

Come get to know your public community pool, and take a swim for FREE! You can sign your kids up for swim lessons, sign up for water aerobics, apply for a job as a lifeguard and/or swim instructor, and more! Learn all the ways you can volunteer and support Parker Pool, a former City-run pool, which was taken over by community volunteers. It relies on community support to remain open.

Corpus Christi Montessori School’s 11th Annual Crawfish Boil

Corpus Christi Montessori School is raising money for a covered top for their basketball court and an outside learning/exploration area for students. Tickets will be sold on campus at 822 Ayers Street and at the event!

Harry Potter Trivia Night

Spend the evening with Board & Brush and dressed in your best Harry Potter attire. This fun filled Harry Potter themed night will include butter beer and pizza. A Harry Potter movie will play during the workshop and there will be trivia with prizes! SEATS ARE LIMITED SIGN UP NOW!

22nd Annual Rockport Festival of Wine and Food

The Rockport Festival of Wine and Food started in 1997 as an annual fundraiser for the Texas Maritime Museum, and is the largest fundraiser for the year. The festival helps raise the needed operational funds for the Museum, but also provides a venue for entertainment and fun. Over 2,500 visitors from 26+ states are welcomed on the grounds of the Museum to experience wine, VIP wine tasting, lectures, food vendors, live bands, shopping vendors and beer booths. Wine may be purchased by the taste, glass, bottle or case and this is the only festival of its kind that allows you to try expensive vintage wines by the glass.
