Samantha Ferguson- Corpus Christi Moms Blog Contributor

Samantha knew an adventurous life was ahead when she first laid eyes on her {handsome} husband, Zac. Their greatest endeavor has been raising their three free-spirited children to value respect, integrity, and autonomy. Samantha and Zac were somehow tricked into being dog AND cat people by their daughter, who has been obsessed with cats from birth. Lady (dog) and the Tramp (cat) provide entertainment equal to their human siblings.

In the moments between homeschooling and managing both of their businesses, Samantha savors the quiet moments through reading, researching, and connecting with other local families. She loves talking food, coffee, wine and making life easier. Her central passions revolve around supporting women and children through pregnancy and the formative years. Samantha wears many hats as a sleep coach, Newborn Care Specialist, childbirth educator and more, alongside her team at South Texas Birth & Parenting (formerly Victoria Doulas.)

But here she is, married to a good old Maryland boy who loves crabs and Old Bay seasoning.

Before being a mommy, Sonia gained several years of experience working with children in all different aspects, from being a camp counselor to a special needs teacher aide. She loves anything to do with kids. When she has free time, Sonia’s hobbies include photography, baking, reading, traveling with her family, hiking at state parks and beach time!! When her daughter isn’t watching Finding Dory or Despacito (NOT the Justin Bieber version) her favorite shows are anything on HGTV, Chopped, Grey’s Anatomy and anything on the Travel Channel. Profile- Stephanie Flora- Contributor- Corpus Christi Moms Blog- Bumble-B Photography

Stephanie recently moved to North Padre Island from Jacksonville, Florida with her husband, two sons, Wilder (1) and Bouldin (4), and beloved golden retriever, Bodhi. Stephanie grew up in Amarillo, but spent most of her adulthood in Austin where she met her husband. They moved quite a bit as her husband started medical school and then attended ER residency. Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom, Stephanie received a masters in social work, worked for several years in fundraising, and ran a local nonprofit organization dedicated to the needs of breast cancer patients in El Paso. She began blogging as they started moving around with her husband’s medical training- it started with a focus on thrifting, and as life transitioned, the blog also shifted into travel and motherhood. With her husband’s crazy ER schedule, she tries to keep her boys active hiking, biking, and heading to the beach. Stephanie is learning to slow down and soak up every moment with her young boys.

Profile- Tracie Estes Brewer- Contributor- Corpus Christi Moms Blog- Bumble-B Photography

Tracie is a stay at home mom to Mackenzie (11) and Layton (8). She has two older children, Ashlen (27) and Blake (24) who live in Austin. Tracie’s family  moved here from Austin in late January so we are new to Corpus Christi! They had been in Austin for 15 years. Tracie’s husband, Cory, and she were both born and raised in Ft. Worth. Tracie has a unique perspective on parenting due to the fact that her children are so far apart in age… in a sense, she got a “redo.” Tracie enjoys working out, being in the water, binge watching Netflix, and WINE. OH… and spending time with my family, of course. She feels that as parents, especially mothers, we have to support each other and most of all, keep our sense of humor… without it, we will literally lose our minds. Tracie doesn’t like to take herself too seriously and prefers to surround herself with people who like to laugh and have fun! Welcome to her crazy life!

Contributor- Victoria Ibarra- Corpus Christi Moms Blog

Victoria lives and breathes Corpus Christi. She took a risk moving back to Corpus Christi in November of 2013 after a divorce and a job loss at 32 weeks pregnant with her second daughter (who is now 4.) She was hired at 38 weeks pregnant with her current employer and has another full time hustle wearing and presenting Younique. She also blogs about it and her life weekly! Check it out at Alchemist by the Sea.

Victoria has traveled for work and family on domestic and foreign soil and is a lover of all things beaded. She especially loves making her own tea blends and is a forever fan of peach rooibos.

Through all of life’s mishaps; the cooking fails, dirty laundry piles, late rent, forgotten bills, small lego’s hiding in the fibers of the carpet and a grocery list that’s finally found after your fourth visit to the grocery store…. there is the flip slide; cooking wins, laundry that gets washed, rent that eventually gets paid, late fees on the forgotten bills, legos that are found because we stepped on them and a grocery list that eventually surfaced!!

Victoria is excited to be part of this group and looks forward to meeting and validating moms who can and need to say “the struggle is real!”
