Antique Shopping Roundup {Sinton, Texas}

Welcome to this round-up of favorite stops and shops you can find in our small, lovely town of Sinton, Texas.

I’m about to take you to a few of my favorites.

In most cases, I tried to direct you to a website or Facebook page where you can look at a bit more information about what they have to offer. I say this because I’m sure once you get this sneak-peek you’re going to want to stop by and pay us a visit!

Before we dive into the shopping options… I want to share with you a bit about Jackson Square.

You cannot come to Sinton, Texas without stopping by Jackson Square. It is a small, quaint park with a beautiful, hand-painted mural on the walls of the businesses that surround it.

It is so unique I had to share a picture with a close-up of one wall of the mural. During the Christmas season, Santa is known to park his sleigh at Jackson Square, and it is a prime spot for the local boy scout troop to set up their annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser. It is often a photo-op location for visitors and locals alike.

Please, please, please, if you come to Sinton, Texas… stop at Aunt Aggie D’s Pralines. You will not regret it.  You cannot miss it with the giant squirrel out front. They sell the best, and I mean VERY best, pralines all around. In addition to pralines, the store itself has other candy options and all sorts of gifts and collectibles.

I’m tossing in the Sinton Texas Historical Museum for good measure. If you are a history person, it would stand to reason you would enjoy a stop at our local museum.

At The Picket Fence you won’t find much in the way of antiques, but you will find is a great place to shop!  The Picket Fence has a complete variety of items to shop for provided by their amazing group of vendors. You will find Melissa and Doug toys, children’s clothing, women’s boutique clothing, Yellow Box shoes, Consuela bags, food gifts items, Lenny & Eva jewelry, homemade Whippy Dips, and SO SO much more!

We’re a small town here in Sinton, Texas, but we do come complete with a florist, Betty’s Flower and Tea Garden.  Betty’s doesn’t just sell flowers though.  They have other gifts and collectibles available for purchase as well.

Kountry Kaboodles is a full-on antique store.  I love spending time walking through, looking at all the unique items for sale. They have everything from furniture, and old toys to old kitchen items, old records and absolutely so much more.  It is a very fun place to visit if you make your way to our small town.

Odom’s Gifts is a fun, unique, and delightful place to stop and shop. The owner is an amazing cook.  It would be tough to find a better home-cooked meal anywhere else. Mrs. Odom prepares a delicious lunch most days, including mouth watering desserts.  Yes, the shopping is awesome with her store full of all sorts of antiques, but, you will LOVE the food equally as much!

Gwen’s Antiques is where to stop if you’re looking for consignment furniture. They have beautiful furniture pieces for sale and just might have that special piece you’ve been looking for.

The Bargain Spot is so individual that they don’t even have a Facebook page for me to direct you to.  Still a fun place to walk through.  You never know what you might find here!

Hungry after your day of shopping?  Or just want to stop for lunch?

Butter Churn Restaurant is well known for their huge selection of salad options, entree choices, cobblers and light and fluffy dinner rolls.

BackStreet Cafe. My personal favorite?  The mahi mahi with a baked sweet potato and a veggie of the day for the side.  They have the best ever bean/cornbread and salad bar. Mmmmmmm.

Other local options include Kim Son Chinese Food and a couple of Mexican Food restaurants. Fast food choices are slim pickings in Sinton, but we do have a Whataburger, DQ, and Subway.

I hope this gives you an idea of what is available in our small town.  We love visitors! So, please stop by and pay our locals a visit.
